THE URBAN SEAFOOD Experience | Dubai Outlet Village

It was a fine Sunday morning when suddenly my plans were changed by a birthday dinner invitation from one of the founding members of Out Of The Box (OOTB) events planning and styling. Since we will be coming from Abu Dhabi we decided to meet halfway so Jebel Ali makes it and ideal location to meet being on the border of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

We left Abu Dhabi still undecided where to have our dinner. Arriving in Dubai Outlet Village earlier than the celebrant, gave me ample time to tour our OOTB co-member within the Mall vicinity. Amazed with the upscale shopping experience of mall’s architectural design inspired by the picturesque medieval Italian Town located in Tuscany, we haven’t noticed how time passed by so quickly.

The celebrant then asked a favor from us, to look for a restaurant inside and check out which one do we prefer to dine in. Being in the area with the pure intention of chillin’ out and being complete, we gave her the sole right to choose haha that made it a lot easier on our part 😉😍. Upon their arrival, we went straight away to Urban Seafood, it sparked excitement on my end for 2 reasons.

Now let me introduce and walk you through the restaurant with out personal experience...

Starting with the AMBIANCE... well, what can I say, being located in Dubai Outlet Village, the place is just so perfect! Seafoods with a European vibe! The restaurant has been given its own identity with the interior and stands out amongst other restaurants with their large “swinging chair” ... though not recommended for people who easily gets dizzy.

After placing our orders we all agreed to transfer table because the swing is not ideal while eating (seafoods + swinging seat = BP Alert) hahaha

Price is a bit high, but not that much if you will be sharing the meal with someone or if you are dining in group since the serving size is big, so SHARE THE FOOD, SHARE THE BILL! 🤪 ... that easy! Haha ... in our case we just SHARED OUR PRESENCE and NOT ON THE BILL! light and easy! ... Thank you Panda Love (the celebrant 😍)

The restaurant aims at serving their food with simple flavors and keeping it healthy and fresh. I have to give it to them, for they indeed served us simple yet so tasty meals and for a food lover, you will definitely know if food is fresh!

What really caught my attention was their SEAFOOD PASTA. The creaminess of the Alfredo sauce is just so impeccable, al dente pasta and look at the prawns, calamari and mussels, will you not love their pasta??? ... oh well not to mention how I love pasta!

Another signature meal that they have is the MIXED SEAFOOD PLATTER. This sharing worthy meal is an absolute enjoyment. Seafoods alone are tasty enough, and theirs is oozing with freshness, but when partnered with their home made sauces especially their Tartar sauce, flavor explodes, irresistibly good! I even asked for a take away of the tartar sauce haha ... rice is optional, either plain steamed rice or Arabic flavored rice... being a Filipino.... I always go for plain steamed rice 😉

The overall experience was delightful, great customer service, very accommodating staff and most of all their highly commendable moreish meals, that will sure make you wanting for more!

We ended our birthday bonding moment with a cup of coffee and good deal of laughter, making sure we are all fully awake before hitting the roads back on our respective homes. Had it been on a weekend, we’ll definitely be staying longer, because the place and the weather were so inviting and relaxing!

When in Dubai, don’t forget to drop by at URBAN SEAFOOD Restaurant and try it for your satisfaction. They also have branches in Last Exit and The Beach Jumeirah, operating every Sun-Wed from 10am till 11:30pm and Thur-Sat 8am till 2am.
