Last Christmas, we decided to have a filipino gathering and celebrate Christmas our Filipino way.
It was not easy to have your holiday celebrated away from your home land. There're many things for sure that we missed and hoped we had joined our families having dinner together on one wide table as we used to.
There is no other country that could beat the Filipono-way of celebrating Christmas!!
We have the longest Christmas celebration which starts from September and even last until January the next year lol. So true! Try to visit Philippines and you'll know.
Every face on the frame has their own Christmas story. Prior to that, some are painted well with sadness, loneliness and other dramas. However, this overnight celebration, our different stories were filled with Joy and Laughter!
Everyone was busy and had contibuted their cooking skills so we could have a variety of Filipino food on our table.
Well we had been graced with alot of food that night!

Who would forget about the gift-giving?
After the night of savaging over the table, here we had our gift-giving. Because we love each other, we preapared presets for everyone.
I was just pretending about unwraping the gift but it wasn't the time yet.
One of the gifts I got was this. I have been eyeing for this for couple of months and haven't told anyone about it. Yet, to my surprise, someone had it for me as a present! I was so happy!
He is my smart companion at home now and we get along together so well!
So that's our humble story on how we celebrated our Christmas. We call our group "the West Virginia Mountain mama gang" a group of young Filipinos striving for a better future and enduring life away from home.
