Philippine Adobo is a popular dish and cooking process in Philippine cuisine that involves meat, seafood, or vegetables marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and black peppercorns, which is browned in oil, and simmered in the marinade.
And many filipinos are cooking this recipe and made some twist. ☺️👩🍳 And me, I put some coconut 🥥 to make it creamier. 👍🏻
Ingredients
Chicken, cut into pieces
3 tbs knorr soy sauce
1/4 cup Water
2 tbs Vinegar
1 sachet 8G MAGGI MAGIC SARAP®
1/4 cup Garlic, crushed
2 pcs Laurel Leaf
6-8 pcs Peppercorns
1/2 cup Oil
2 tbs coconut milk powder
Procedure
- In a pot, boil chicken in vinegar, soy sauce, water, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, garlic, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Cook uncovered until boiling. Lower the heat and simmer while covered until chicken is tender or simmer for 10 minutes. Strain sauce and reserve.
- In a large pan, heat the oil. Pan-fry the chicken until golden brown. Remove excess oil.
- Pour in the reserved sauce and simmer with the browned chicken until sauce is almost dry.
- Pour in coconut milk and remove from heat. Serve hot.
Enjoy ☺️☺️
