I've been on this wave length...that the roles may have been reversed - I heard an Anon video the other day and it was brought up how the colors white and black have been swapped/changed in meanings where white/light is truly the absence of color and black/darkness is all colors combined..
they also brought up another interesting etymology slip - "sin" can be traced and translated to have meant "debt" as in owing someone. This could have some enlightening notions behind it if true..
I really liked your post. Etymology is a curious area of study :) I like to dip into the magick behind spell-ing and the power of words once in a while as well as the more rooted history of words and ideas. I have seen quite a few videos/heard a few audiobooks where people are making those same connections with the S words and Sun/Son - I like the way you write - keep steemin'!
