Do we have jobs because we desire to work or because we are required to ?

"95% of people in this world go to work only 5% get to do what they love"

That satement is up for endless debabte.

The pictures below are self portraits inspired by the life of my cousin and father.
They both have jobs that they totally dispise. For them its un-inspiring but they do it anyway, mostly not because of desire but for the sheer necessity. However the idea that one day they will retire from these jobs -scares them. Not because of money but because their life will be distrupted of its routine.
Is it their work that defines them or is it the purpose, the reason they go to work.

Is it for family or is it for keeping oneself occupied ?

I would like to reframe that - 95% of people go to work for the love of live, for the nessasity of stability and continuity - of ones family and mind. And thats why their is - amonst all the chaos and mundaness - a sense of calm.

Regardless of the fact if you like what you do or not. We all are, more often than not, in this dilemma - in this catch 22 - to do or not to do - to be or not to be , positin in our lifes and that in the end renders us -Saturated.
