RE: You are what you wish

in #philosophy7 years ago

When you talk about the importance of high quality wishes it makes me think about the energy and "power" we can have to attract things. And as if paying to much attention on the irrelevant aspects of life just kind of drain us and spread to thin the focus we have. I guess its like the title of your article, we are what we wish and if we wish for little silly things, well, that could easily be what we become.
Of course, no amount of wishing will make our dreams come true without the right actions taken. But that reminds about something I read once (I don't exactly remember from which philosophers) about how things come to exist, always involving two forces. For example a tree will exist both for the effort the seed makes to grow, but there's also the will power from the already grown tree wishing to exist, and pulling that little seed to grow too.
So we need both to try and make a change in our reality.
Not sure if my comment makes any sense at this point, but I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate a good and profound read, just to get me thinking about what really matters.
Your article is really amazing and I'm glad I got to read it :-)
