Reality says it is already " Game Over " the wealth of the Nation is now gone. Either it is now super concentrated with the super wealthy or it has been spent and lost.
You can only spend for so long outside your budget. Today there is nothing new to galvanize the public into supporting new ventures to stimulate the economy. Once 75 % of the population now longer has wealth to stimulate the economy it must gradually shrink.
The abandonment of public responsibility by public office holders simply means no one is listening anymore. For a decade now only some 10 % of the Nation has listened to the State of the Union Address. Today people are just apathetic; today people simply listen to their favorite propaganda channel that makes them feel warm and fuzzy.
If you are a certain type of voter you listen to CNN or FOX or whoever makes you feel like your opinions are correct. People today just listen to opinions that say " you see , I told you what the problem is ; and this is why we cannot fix it ".
It is easier to go with the flow instead of being a Democrat listening to Republican rhetoric or being a Republican listening to Democrat rhetoric. These two Professional Politician groups simply trade market shares so one of the contractors gets to issue trillions of dollars in rewards as governmental contracts.
The short term sub-contractor is simply there as an easily forgettable and blamable safety fuse so people just un-elect the short term subcontractor instead of holding the market maker responsible . . .
Like most sub-contractors these people will do anything and say anything to get their temporary work contracts renewed. Consider your requirements for public office, age 25 years old, no felony convictions and 7 years of citizenship ; this means 100 MILLION Americans could run for public office. But 99.99 % of them just have to much self respect . . .
Simply ; be a Patriot , come election time tell your elected official " You're Fired ! ! ! " ...
Hey - I agree with you ... What I am trying to understand is how we get to this point from theoretical point of view, what should be changed, and what comes next..
