The Fear Effect...

in #philosophy7 years ago

When fear controls you then reason and rational thought could be lacking. Dangerous things with regard to the future happen and the future becomes a bleaker place. Do not let people use your fear to manipulate you? Pay attention. You'll notice when they are doing it. Are they trying to make you more afraid? Are they using your fear as an opportunity to ask for something from you, even if it is only consent to act?

I want to see if I can slap together some simple infographics I have floating around in my mind at the moment. They may not be awesome. I'm going to crank them out as fast as I can before I forget about them.

Up To This Point

The above infographics have essentially happened. I suspect they are far worse than those dots indicate. It is also important to note that people sometimes qualify as more than one color as far as these labels. I am going to only use one color at a time when I do these.

From these next steps I want to show you what might be happening, and what might happen. I present it as food for thought.

Simplification

Whether the people of different colors are criminals completely or not, there has been talk by politicians to imprison and/or kill people in all of these demographics at one point or another. So I am going to simplify the image before I move into the next stage.

The interesting thing about that is you could also divide people by whether they were Republicans or Democrats and those dots would span both sections. It seems very much like intentional divisionary tactics to destroy solidarity as far as I am concerned.

These infographics were me hoping to make people look at things a little different and think in different ways. The only dots on that chart that seem to be in a positive winning situation are the pink ones.

All of this makes me recall the following quote. I actually think of this quote by Martin Niemoller quite often.

Awesome. I do like a good Ayn Rand quote. She spent a lot of time thinking and had some really important messages. I wish more people would read her seriously. Thanks for adding this.

you're welcome.
I was pretty interested in her writing's back in the day.

I read "The Fountainhead" when I was 16 or 17 and loved it. Read "Atlas Shrugged" a couple of years later. I've of course read them several times sense that time since that was in the late 80s. Some of my children have read them including my youngest who read "Atlas Shrugged" when he was 10.

I have some other books of hers, but those two were the masterpieces as far as I'm concerned.

have you read Anthem?

I started to. I have it. I need to get back to it. I don't think it was a matter of not liking it. It was more likely due to something distracting me. ;)

short book. It shouldn't take long to read it.
Kinda skeery.
I've heard it's the first one she wrote..
...by several years actually.

she didn't publish for a while.

very interesting post... there are very few people who are writing good articles in philosophy. and I found you in that list. Following you now. @dwinblood

I am in agreement... it is well detailed also.

AMAZING! The group is as strong as the weakest. Clear pointes out the way you did. Never accept fear for the unknown. Be curious and act yourself. You made a Very good post !

Very nice!

I was just thinking about fear the other day... as the day I moved past fear (the type that stops you from doing what you know is right, not the type that you can use to make better decisions) was the day that most people I knew started looking at me like I was crazy.

Talking back to authority?

Agreeing to do what they say as soon as they show proof that they have a contract with me or that they own me?

You'd think I grew a second head.

I think you summed up how things are being orchestrated quite well. Secondary charts right next to them showing dots to say what percentage works as government, what percentage works in the free market, what percentage is on welfare, what percentage is in jail, etc. would be an interesting addition.

Anywise, great stuff as always.

Of course, in the next iteration I'd expect the blue dots to turn black as the truth becomes outlawed more often.

Yeah those were not actual percentages. I just guessed visually as I made those charts really fast (Did them all in around 3 hours). I wouldn't want to do something like this again unless I write a computer program to generate the images for me. I may do that. :) Then it could generate accurate images based upon actual input data. Essentially a different type of chart.

Could call it a faction chart. :)

We are all being played.

I see a trend here. To villainize a group that really isn't doing anything but living their lives. And then use that to arrest some and control the rest through fear.

In gulag archepelego, he talks about how they would have a war on X, then a war on Y, then a war on Z. And each time they would gather up a bunch of people and send them to the gulags. Not that it ever did anything to the crimes X,Y,or Z. (and what were they doing about crimes Y and Z, when they were soo focussed on X?)

Yep. That is what I am seeing. I was taking a stab at representing it in a way that might get more people to see it.

Smoke and Mirrors.

Instead of Sleight of Hand it is "Sleight of Mind"

You really put a lot of work into this post. It is very educating.

Last two photos are so preety and too your post..i really enjoyed.

The crazy liberals, if they only knew what critical thinking is. All they do is repeating what others taught them.

I mean how stupid can you be to not understand what free speech is? Hate speech my ass. That bullshit went so far that it can even be flagged here. INSANITY!

And all this shit happens because we are too sheltered here in the west. If they only had one small war they would make strength, honor and truth a virtue again because it is needed. If people are bored they make themselves problem, hate speech, feminism and all this bullshit mentally ill people came up with excists for that reason. They were bored

If people had a tougher life this shit would end immediately and they would stop talking about this useless crap.

I wish a toughter life for people, if they want shit they have to earn it through work pure and simple. Tired of these entitled pussies.

Rant over.

sheltered here in the west.

Actually this already happened in China in the late 60s. During their "Cultural Revolution". Kind of a byproduct of Communist revolutions it seems and it so far has ALWAYS escalated to violence and death.

In the name of equality, we sentence you to 13 years in prison for hitting a baby with a spoon while this girl who hit a baby with a spoon gets nada.

Welcome to Communism.
