Mentioning the name "Pythagoras" triggers the image of an erudite character that dedicated his life to mathematics, Geometry, and Numerology in particular. He also wrote the music theory which was used to design the "Tuning Forks". In short, he was a man of great wisdom who merged the metaphysical and the physical, and what mainstream science would never tell you about.
Strangely, Pythagoras' direct writings seem to have vanished from the surface of the earth, but people quoting him abound. Was Pythagoras' work removed from the public eye or was he merely a mythological character?
This Pythagorean Diet is thus a theory reported by famous contemporary figures directly or indirectly influenced by his radical vegetarian stance. Seneca and Musonius Rufus, for example, explain that vegetarianism was a growing trend in Rome under the emperor Nero because it was believed that meat intake induces habits of cruelty. They did not exclude all animal products but those resulting from killing.
What makes complete sense in our view. We just need to look at our current livestock holocaust claiming the massacre of nearly 80 billion animals yearly and globally... and how meanwhile society's structural violence keeps increasing.
Any blood spilling calls for more blood, regardless of its origins. Violence begets violence is a well-known fact. Well, allow us to state very bluntly that "ANY" blood spilling is a ritual, no matter how we look at it.
To be fair it is not just the industrial slaughter but a combination with other factors, though all this is definitely interconnected. Society itself is an ecosystem and we have to assess all possible ramifications. Ingesting the flesh of animals that have atrociously suffered from birth must affect our psyches somehow. While people struggle more and more, meat addiction is a blatant reality. Many cannot go 2 or 3 days without meat and eat almost 1lb daily on top of that.
Our meat consumption is so insane that deforestation to raise cattle is becoming a threat and that we rely on 80% of the antibiotic production and hormones to keep the livestock on life support till slaughter. How is this going to end?
We're reading that vegetarianism is a concept that recommends the consumption of products generated directly by the "Earth Goddess or her female representatives that are treated with respect"... the Nurturing Principle! This resonates a lot with us as the planet has been in the hands of ruthless patriarchy for almost 5000 years. We are what we eat after all.
We do not go by mainstream scientific consensuses. The separation between science and metaphysics (or spirituality) is very ancient. Eventually, both fields will have to merge and when done, debates will become much less polarized.
The bottom line is that we have to learn how to eat better, quality has little to do with taste in the end. And it even appears that one meal a day is better to keep our cells young longer. Fasting is now recommended as a cure to cancer, which was also been advocated by spiritualists to address illness and since ever.
Yes, industrialization had done great damages but one thing is certain: the time to eat what we feel like eating is definitely over. The Oneness of life has to be put into practice. Oddly we often find ourselves sitting on the fence, but it is the best spot if you want our opinion.
Our main conclusion here is that vegetarianism and veganism are not trends decided by modern contrarians to monetize health. This is all based on 1000s of years old facts. Again let's follow the money trail supporting heavy meat intake instead and which is the drive of so many chronic diseases empowering harmful allopathy. It is not without a reason that many spiritual teachings recommend both, vegetarianism and veganism.
As we see it, the consensus is not about agreeing to follow the same eating habits for the sake of it, it is more profound. In our view, awareness determines the diet and the body will require a diet matching that awareness. The metaphysical controls everything. Moreover, we firmly believe that as long as humans kill animals, they will continue to wage war on each other.
We need to treat our bodies as Temples, and doing this will set forward the much needed planetary healing.

“The differentiation between the psyche, the brain, and the body is purely academic. In reality, they are one.”
Dr. Hamer: “All so-called diseases have a special biological meaning. While we used to regard Mother Nature as fallible and had the audacity to believe that She constantly made mistakes and caused breakdowns (malignant, senseless, degenerative cancerous growths, etc.) we can now see, as the scales fall from our eyes, that it was our ignorance and pride that were and are the only foolishness in our cosmos. Blinded, we brought upon ourselves this senseless, soulless and brutal medicine. Full of wonder, we can now understand for the first time that Nature is orderly and that every occurrence in Nature is meaningful, even in the framework of the whole. Nothing in Nature is meaningless, malignant or diseased.” https://learninggnm.com/SBS/documents/i_five_laws.html

Great post. Funny how the modern world thinks it's doing things that have never been done before lol. Marketing and media have a lot to answer for! #vanlife is another one - selling a lifestyle that has been around for years. Ever heard of the gypsy vardos, vanlifers? Lol - vegetarian nomads were around before you made macrame to hang in your vans and post on insta. Oh god I sound cynical! however, it's a more important time to eat plant based NOW than ever before, given the drain on the earth's resoruces.
right marketing is a deadly machine, we should end TV advertising, Never heard of vanlifers but I will make a quick search his week. The animal suffering is enough to end monetizing the livestock.
Ancient knowledge still surpasses our level by much. Back then they knew that the physical and metaphysical are one.

The carnivore diet kicks ass! I decided in January to lose some weight when data came out that obesity made covid worse.
So I went on an extremely low carb diet. Meat, eggs and cheese. Lots of supplements.
10 months later, I have lost 60 lbs of fat. Blood work is awesome, and I feel great. Never even came close to starving myself. I just ate until I was full. I just naturally started eating less, once I got off of the carbs. Eating carbs makes you hungrier.
I did that for over a year and loved it, but I've fallen back into the trap of carbs and garbage. I basically ate the same thing every day and that was perfect for me. It was always delicious and I never really had to worry about what I was going to eat or recipes or anything like that. I also only ate once a day most of the time.
Veggies are GOOD carbs... but staying away from all carbs related to processed food... happy for you that you lost weight though but too much meat is hard on the kidney over time ... beware!
