Mahatma Gandhi is the man who wrote the story!

  1. Change yourself:
"If you want the world to change, be yourself this change"
If you change your mind, your feelings and actions will change. And thanks to this, the world around you will change. Not only because you will look at the environment through the prism of new feelings and thoughts, but also because internal changes will allow you to do things the way you would not do before, relying on the former way of thinking.

  2. Take control of yourself
"No one can harm me without my consent"
What you feel and how you react to something always depends on you. There may be "sample" patterns of behavior in different situations, but in most cases you can choose what to think and feel in relation to almost everything.
Perhaps this will not happen immediately or it will not happen all the time, and the habit of thinking in the old way will make itself felt.
But gradually you realize that no one from the outside is really able to control your feelings and will be able to use this way of thinking in everyday life.

  3. Forgive and Forget
"The weak never forgive. Forgiveness is a sign of strength "
"The principle" an eye for an eye "can make the whole world blind"
It is impossible to defeat evil with evil. And as they say in the previous advice, you always choose how to treat something. When you begin to resort more and more precisely to this way of thinking, you can treat the happening as it is most useful for you and other people.
If you do not forgive, then allow the past and the other person to control their feelings. Forgiveness, you will free yourself from these bonds and then be able to focus on something else.

  4. Idle, you will not come to anything
"The gramme of one's own experience is worth more than a ton of foreign instructions"
Few things can be done if you do not take any action.
You can begin to seek solace in reasoning, as Gandhi says. Or endlessly read and learn. And it will seem to you that you are moving forward. But at the same time you will not have any real results, or they will be small.
So, in order to really achieve what you want, and truly understand yourself and your world, you need practice. Books can give you knowledge, but not skills. You need to act and translate knowledge into results.

  5. Be persistent
"At first you do not notice, then they laugh at you, then they fight with you, and then you win"
Be persistent. Over time, the rejection around you will weaken, and then disappear altogether. Your inner resistance and self-destructive tendencies will loosen, which pull you back and prevent you from changing.
Find out what you really love to do. This will allow you to find the inner motivation to continue to walk again and again. One of the reasons why Gandhi so successfully applied his method of nonviolent resistance is that he and his supporters were incredibly persistent. They simply did not know the word "surrender."

  6. Seek good in people and help them
"I only count on good things in people. I myself am not without sin, and therefore I do not consider myself entitled to focus on the mistakes of others "
"I understand that once for the ability to lead the muscles were needed, but now it means the ability to get along with people"
In every person there is both good and bad. But you can always choose what to draw your attention to. If you want to achieve positive changes, then the right decision will be to focus on the good sides of people. This will make your life easier, because your relationship will become more positive and enjoyable.

  7. Continue to grow and develop
"Continuous development is the law of life. And a man who always tries to adhere to firmly established views only for the sake of constancy, pushes himself into the wrong position "
You can always greatly improve your skills, change habits, or revise your assessment. You can achieve a deeper understanding of your nature and the world around you.
