The concept of lucid dreaming has an effect on one's well being in a few different ways. First let's cover sleeping in general.
Sleep is known to improve your memeory. While you're asleep, your brain practices its own algorithms in order to improve your memory by running wild in your subconscious. If you were to practice something like a new skatboard trick, in your sleep your mind processes that information and makes you improve more in waking life.
Sleep is also known for reducing stress. Sleep is a rest from waking life, with more sleep at night you can wake up and feel refreshed and more ready than before! Sleep is a crucial part I feel to mental health.
Lucid dreaming as you know it, is when you're aware you are dreaming, and are able to control your dreams from there!
With the benefits from sleeping in general, imagine what would happen if you lucid dream.
Here's a list of things alucid dreaming can benefit you!
- coping with life obstacles by recreating those scenes and finding a solution
- practice your job or hobby
- meet a fmous person
The possibilities are endless.
Research says that when you complete a task in a lucid dream that you were or are not able to do in waking life, it has the same effect on your mood as if you were able to complete that task in waking life.
Lucid dreaming has not yet een found all the way through. Meaning there's still research that needs to be done.
Dreaming in general is fascinating, but lucid dreaming is a whole new level of fascination!
I've read that some people know how to make themselves go into a lucid dreaming state whenever they choose to. It's strange, but quite interesting.
