Sometimes conspiracy theories can lead to truth but most times they just draw awareness to things that are not there. Like the alien ship crash in rosewell

Sometimes too it causes unnecessary panic, especially if it has been said to have been vetted by a recognized authority in the particular area under scrutiny.
I feel conspiracy theories should be taken with a grain of salt and unemotionally at that.
One time, conspiracy theorists in my country shared on social media information that the military was using an excuse of vaccination to spread a virus and kill people in the south. Mothers came to take their children from school in large numbers. It was unbelievable. The military had to come out to clarify things. Or is it the Ebola scare? When mothers were calling their children to bathe with salt water.
What I enjoy about reading or watching conspiracy theories is the way with which they link information then leave speculating with unanswered questions all through the night. They make me think, which is a good thing.
I think this is part of the propaganda component
Yep
My point
A lot like scientific research.
Yeah.
