We often think about our death in the future, that it will come one day but not today, that we still have a few more days but death is never in the future because we do not live in the future. Death can be present only in the now, just at this moment thus you could die anytime.
Most of the people ignore death, mostly because someone they trust told them that it's bad, made them think that it's something terrible, and as they ignore it they get to repress it, so their relationship with the death does not exist anymore. This is something awful because then you may think that you still have a few decades, even if you're 90 you may feel that you still have a few more years, but that is not always true.
Because most of the people forget that they can die any time they will make a lot of sacrifices, they will do a lot of things that they hate so they can have a few happy moments in the nonexistent future.
Memento Mori
Memento mori, remember death or remember that you will die is the most powerful quote from the entire history in my opinion because being aware that you could die at any moment gives you a lot of freedoms and makes you live life.
Let me give you a cynical example, let's say that you would have only 90 more days to live, would you waste your time with college, useless jobs or stupid people? Would you hesitate to ask that girl out to prom, or to confront your boss? Would you postpone on your passions, happiness? I do not think so.
Being aware of the fact that you will die one day and that it can happen in any moment gives you the freedom not to give a fuck about minor things most of the people use their entire energy and time on, it gives you the freedom to taste life at its fullest.
Also, if death can be only present in the moment because the future does not exist yet and you are not dead, that may mean that death doesn’t exist. It’s just an illusion. Who knows what will happen after our bodies stop working? You are not your body, and if your body dies, this doesn’t mean that you have to die too. Firstly, you have to find who you are, your true nature, then, you will understand death. I still have to do that too.
Conclusion
What I am trying to say in this post is that you shouldn't care that much about the small things happening around you and about the things other people wish for you when you can focus all of your attention into doing what you love.
Also, you shouldn't care about what people think of you since most of them are dumb and not evolved; their thinking is influenced by mass media, by other stupid people and celebrities without them knowing the truth. They will just try to take you down since they can't understand what you are doing because of their stupid limitations.
Anyway, in the end, nothing matters.

No need for nihilism in the last sentance... Accepting death is great, best motivator you can get ;)
Haha, you spotted that right. I'm fascinated by nihilism, to be honest even if I know that it's not all right. :)
There is a much longer story abouth death on this theme... Do you know that there are some animals that are biologicly imortal? Well just imagine humans like that... You are imortal but still someone can kill you by cutting your head off... we would be so affraid for our lifes that noone would take any risk... It would be so f... up world full of scared imortal humans :) Death rulez...
I know, but no one reads posts more than 500 words on Steem.
Oh yeah, the jellyfishes, right? That would suck for sure. I always used to say that Death is the most significant gift humanity ever got from the Gods.
Immortality sux.
Truth. I've found the harder I work the more people try and take me down. I thought it would stop once I got out of school, but people are always envious of those who are succeeding in life.
Oh, yes, they always are. Just because they have shitty lives, they will try to take us down just so they can feel better, sadly.
Hey your posts are awsm...
