I don't think crypto-currency will be the answer to our problems, but more of just a helpful step along the way.
The only reason we have money is because we can't trust eachother to share out material goods fairly. We have already overcome the technological challenges of being able to produce enough food and resources for everyone to live comfortable lives. It is only the separation we feel from others that prevents us from losing the fear of not having enough that is keeping the need for us to have a system of money exchange for deciding who can have what.
So whether its paper money or crypto-currency, we still are going to have to make the leap to a more compassionate, holistic and all inclusive way of being as a global family, then money will simply become an unnecessary inconvenience.
