RE: Let's Be Real

in #philosophy7 years ago

Great post mate! Talks about something so basic we all do on a daily basis in our lives. I think what real life situations we experience everyday require us to balance our feelings versus that of others. If i talk about work, people need encouragement and validation by knowing that their decisions are right. Its not just limited to people at the top. Sometimes when one has to motivate someone, white lies are used. And the man at the top and the one at the bottom are both insecure and seek validation, albeit to different extent. The same works with friends and family i think. Most people will want honesty. However sometimes they want to feel good knowing that their fears are pointless or to build confidence about their thoughts. That in turn may be related to this false image of who they think they are or who they want to be, so eventually a big lie. Everyday we are fed lies by politicians, friends, colleagues. One can ask for honesty but cannot give it back in return, not until others also come to the same conclusion that you have.

Very thoughtful post. Following you.
