Since the beginning of time man has pondered his surroundings.
This urge for understanding, is it a part of the human psyche, a development of evolution or, is there a more cosmic or intelligent force at hand?
On a side note during my whale-like manipulation of crytpo markets I noticed an article regarding an ancient city 
This city in fact had stone carvings commemorating the day in which an asteroid had struck the earth causing the ice age. For a long time it was my and many of others belief that it was due to the cold conditions of the ice age that ancient man was in a sense "forced" together thus ushering in socialism, creativity, art, trade, and pretty much the blue print for ancient society. But recent archaeological discoveries have shown that ancient man was capable of far more then we give them credit for i.e.sophisticated pre-ice age time tracking.
Regardless of belief science has attempted to reconcile many of these questions of the universe specifically the "nature" of our universe . With the discovery of quantum mechanics there are currently several new theories on our universe and origin ripe for philosophical pondering for proof is not a synonym for truth.
The first on this list is the "Many Worlds Model"

The many-worlds interpretation is an interpretation of quantum mechanics that asserts that the objective reality of the universe implies that all possible alternate histories and futures are real, each representing an actual "world" (or "universe"). In layman's terms, the hypothesis states there is an infinite number of universes, and everything that could possibly have happened in our past, but did not, has occurred in the past of some other universe or universes. So Basically there is an multiverse for every feasible situation.
The Simulation Model
The simulation model isn't that we are living within a simulation, but rather that a post-human ultra advanced society has created a simulation universe of their ancestors
(Kinda like a sims) this idea has been argued by even the likes of fellow whale Elon Musk.
The last model I will mention is the Biological SETI model.
DNA is one of the most durable substances in our universe. Some theorize that if we are in fact created by a more intelligent
being or race rather then trying to message us through cosmic events and radio waves they would in fact leave messages within our DNA. This would explain the logic and straightforwardness in the human Genome.
