"The Fifth Element" is definitely one of my all-time-favorite movies. There are some awesome lessons to be learned from this film. For those who haven't seen it, watch it and come back to this post! If you don't this post will probably be cheesy to you.. For those of us that have seen the film, let's take a look at some things we can learn from it.
Even the strongest ones need support
At the end of the movie, Leeloo, the supreme being, finds herself with no motivation to save Earth. Due to her seeing images of humanity's sad past, she needs a little bit of help from the outside, specifically to feel loved by Korben.
Negativity Drowns Us
Leeloo becomes overtaken by the fact that war has dominated our history and her motivation for life leaves her because of it. It's important to know the truth, but it's detrimental to drown yourself in it. Knowing the truth allows us to create change, but drowning in it just leads to depression. Keep your head up and focus on what you can do to help manifest positivity.
Humanity is difficult to trust
"General Munro: The Mondoshawans never fully trusted the human race."
Let's face it, due to our war-mongering sociopath pedophile elite, we humans are probably not the most trustworthy in the Galaxy, and Aliens probably fear our destructive nature. In fact, some probably don't want us out in space at all. I mean, it's only been 72 years since we nuked our own civilization... twice.
Love is worth fighting for
There's wind, water, fire and Earth, but is there also a Fifth Element of love? Some say that love is like gravity, or maybe we should call it magnetism. Obviously, in the end of the movie we find out that love is what keeps things from falling apart. In my opinion, Love is what makes life worth living, and deprivation of it is the quickest route to insanity.
Conclusion
I hope you enjoyed the lessons I presented! If you have any other lessons to take away from the movie I would be happy to hear them! Share in comments and I will be glad to discuss it :)
p.s. I found this ^^ really funny and just had to share! I guess there is more than one way to bring peace to the world :P haha
With Hope and Love of course,
