We are the chronically online humans. Before we existed we had to learn to interact with people that mapped realities in different ways, we had to learn to accept, empathize and yes, even tolerate other perceptions of truth.
We the chronically online decided that the effort was too much, too costly, the dopamine hit from confirmation bias is too tempting. So, we created communities filled with people that mapped their reality in the same way, or at least similarly as to not have to practice empathy or tolerance.
We the chronically online then reverted to tribalistic behaviors, not only other, something we've done for ever, but also going on the offense, as if we were fighting for a resource, for food, when In reality we fight only for our egos.
How do we fix it? Don't know, and I suspect there is no way to do so at this point.
We could fix it by using Anonymous Fractal Democracy
please elaborate
i am talking about a Decentralized Community Governance protocol with a particular type of consensus system which enables very large groups if people to come to agreement of action steps and co-ordination of thise actions to forward their cause.
This offers a descrition of #FractalDemocracy as is being used by Optimism Fractals. https://optimystics.io/fractal-democracy
What it lack at the moment is anonymity.
This could be a solution for eliminating sock & bots in permissionless anonymous systems: Looks like a fully anonymous DID system is getting closer. https://openreview.net/forum?id=kPj1Touziw#discussion
And there's this with some more info.
