great book, classic film, no wonder it was banned.. it spawned which pop groups ? there are many, but my favs were Heaven17 and Moloko. I think Kubrick was interested in Burgess' analogy to modern popular culture. Alex is a great character with dramatic irony. The language was exquisitely original. My feeling is that the ultra-violence & porn we see on tv and in film is consumed in comfortable surroundings with icecream and comfy sofas, therefore leading to a potentially dangerous de-sensitisation. perhaps the opposite of Clockwork Orange..or something else entirely. 100% upvoted
