RE: Are We Addicted To Negativity???

in #philosophy7 years ago

I have often thought something similar, not about negativity but about human need for suffering.

See, it seems like it is futile to seek a life full of happiness and devoid of suffering - nobody seems to be able to do so while still living a full life. No matter what people do, they always seem to find something to be depressed and sad about. Almost as if there is a human need for sadness, just as there is a human need for laughter.

Sort:

Is that something inherent within us or is it a path we choice/are conditioned for?

I think it's inherent to us. It's not a bad thing.
I think it may actually be an intrinsic part of living a fulfilled life. Just like laughter and happiness are, really.

Maybe it's because... WE LIVED thousands of years in scarcity?! No no.. can't be that at all! Haha

I think it's true. Contrast is what brings us expansion. If everything was just "good" all the time there would be no growth. I do think that this is a planet of contrast.
