The Gift of Oppression

"History repeats itself," but did you ever wonder why? Why does history repeat itself? Why do we as humans keep falling in the same mistakes over and over again?

For thousands of years we have been running in circles, moving one step forward only to fall two steps behind. Every once great civilization eventually collapsed on itself, either by bankrupting itself, turning a blind eye on corruption, or just simply by giving up on the values on which it was built.

Sure, you could say it's because people are stupid, gullible, careless etc. but I think there's something else there. I think that we don't want to achieve a "Utopian" society/world. We don't want to actually solve our problems, we just want to complain about them and "struggle" because of them. We don't want to "finish the game," we want to keep playing. We need to be oppressed so our lives will have meaning. We need oppression and oppressors, we need to struggle to feel alive, and we need villains to point fingers at and lay the blame on. After all, it is WE who create them. We vote for them, we follow them, we protect them and carry out their orders.

WE ARE the oppressors we're always "fighting" against.

We are so desperate to be controlled and have our freedoms restricted that we invented god when we couldn't find someone to do it. Think about it, isn't it a little strange that "gods" always have a problem with the things we want to do the most, like having sex, doing drugs etc.

We need tyrants and villains so we can feel like heroes. It's like how movie heroes never want to kill their enemies, it's not because "they don't want to be like them," it's because they won't be needed if there are no villains. There would be no story.

If you're still not convinced, look at liberals, feminists, and SJWs. Those people are usually rich and have no problems, they don't have anything to cry about so they try to turn EVERYONE into Hitler, because they want one so bad they're losing their minds because they can't find any.

The world really is a stage, we are the cops, and we need someone to play the robber.

Interesting thoughts man, i have heard something similar to this before from a priest. Saying that he hopes we never have an easy life, because it would be boring. I believe it was a tedtalk if you wanted to track it down.. Thanks bud, upvoted you
