The Path Of Body (Part 2/3)

in #philosophy7 years ago

This is an excerpt from a book in which I am currently working on relating to philosophy, psychology, spirituality, history, and religion. This section pertains to 1 of the 3 pathways I have found that lead to a form of "inspiration," "awakening," or "enlightenment," but I truly dislike using any of these words for the experience is different for everyone. This excerpt relates to The Path of Body while the other two pathways are The Path of Mind and The Path of Spirit. This writing is meant as a kind of poetic opinion backed by experience and does not mean to force anyone into thinking anything. Thanks for your time and if you like what I do here please leave an upvote, a comment, and/or a resteem. May Truth guide you.

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”

The Three Pathways

There seems to be a common occurrence among certain individuals with the characteristics of critical thought, hyper self analysis, and a “jack of all trades” mentality: they go through an epiphany. There seems to be a point of understanding that human consciousness can reach when it thoroughly understands a certain threshold of diversity of systems. From what I have gathered there seems to be several ways to get to this place with the common denominator being a required shifting of perspective or consciousness. Of the multitude of ways to get to this place they all seem to require a choice of three path’s: the path of the Mind, the path of the Body, or the path of the Spirit.

The Path Of Body

The Path of Body can be followed by pursuing bodily experiences that stretch and pull the body outside its normal dementiality. Yoga is the primary process for following this path yet there are more severe body mutations and transformations that can be undergone with the same effect. The key tenant for the follower of the path of body is a full understanding of the human body by physically stretching and connecting each of its components with mind and spirit. If the Path of mind could be compared to comparing and contrasting infinite amounts of systems then the path of body would be the full understanding of one system that is repeated through infinity. The path of mind looks at and compares hundreds of fractals side by side to delineate truth of the All… the path of body looks at a single fractal, the human body, and maps out its different parts and connections with stenographic accuracy, thus allowing it to apply its methodology to All. In essence the path of mind brings awakening through comparison while the path of body brings awakening through full exploration, connection, and application.

The follower of the path of body must spend years fully implementing mindful control over nearly every tissue within their body to the point where it is nearly superhuman. This includes controlling mind/body principles such as pain tolerance, and sexual energies while at the same time controlling the entirety of the nervous system. Many times a follower of the path of body is an individual who is highly motivated to a Sisyphean extent. This is an individual who is willing to push their physical body past any limitation that presents itself. Each time the follower of the path of body is able to extend their physical capacity past a certain limit, they get closer to achieving a complete understanding of the principle of mind over matter as well as an understanding of the nature of death. Both of these understandings allow the follower of the path of body to glimpse the totality of All. This option can be found exemplified in individuals who find themselves in survival situations as well for the body undergoes a dimensional shift when it is physically near death which allows the body/mind complex to come in closer communion with understanding nature.

There are other methods for the follower of the path of Body. Although pushing the limits of our physical bodies can be used for those with an athletic nature, the use of yoga methodologies take a highly connective approach of limit breaking rather than through brute force. With yoga the follower of the path of body is using a system of movements to connect the mind with the subtle body in a quite literal sense. By practicing different yoga movements one is invigorating neuromuscular growth through focusing the mind on understanding each fiber of the body that is required in holding certain positions or completing certain movements. By stretching and moving the body in these ways each time a particular movement is accomplished the follower learns more and more about how the mind electrically connects to different subtle muscles within the body, allowing for a transcendent nearly superhuman mind/body complex. Through committed practice the follower of yoga will eventually achieve a point in which a threshold is reached where the mind/body complex has been sufficiently mapped out to allow the practitioner to understand the malleability of nature and the universe. Again this produces a mind over matter understanding which produces confidence and vigor.

The path of body also constitutes the sexual pathways of awakening. This involves a hyper analysis of the human bodies sexual energies and sexual limitations. A unique aspect of this option of the path is the usual requirement of a partner. Although this makes this option immensely more difficult due to the fact that you and your partner will have to be somewhat on a similar level of soul development, it also allows for arguably the greatest spiritual awakening/enlightenment/epiphany due to the shared nature of the experience. For those interested a thorough study of kundalini sexual energy is a necessity. A successful follower of the sexual option of the path of body is one who pushes the limit of communion, trust, partnership, love, and openness which have a high vibratory resonance with the true nature of All, which is usually why some of the most intense experiences (beside plant medicine) are found here.

To summarize the path of body constitutes methods of pushing the body out of its normal state of being into a state that may be uncomfortable at best and nearing death at worst. By using the mind to extend the body past its normal accepted malleability the individual achieves epiphany/enlightenment/awakening/mystical experience through a true understanding of every part of the body and its lack of limitation.
