Hilarious. I never thought about it, but the phrase "work smarter not harder" necessarily implies 2 things: (1) to work hard is not smart, (2) you must NOT work as hard as you can.
That is a dumb phrase. "Work smarter and get more done" is a better phrase.
Delegating is a way to work smarter. There are things you can pay for, such as people or machines, to do tasks you're not competent at, to free you up time to do tasks you are competent at.
I've been bad at managing my time, procrastinating and doing easy tasks first, then finding out that the hard tasks I can't pay others to do, I no longer have time to do myself either.
Wake up call. Note to self: Do the hard stuff first.

Yeah. I guess "work smarter and get more done" does make a lot more sense. I didn't read this until after I posted my comment, or I would have mentioned it in there. That's pretty much what I said, it just took me a long time to explain it in detail. In the end, I didn't even know that was what I was trying to say.
