RE: All aboard the emotional rollercoaster

in #philosophy7 years ago

When faced with criticism or praise, emotions become strong and rational thinking goes out the window. Afterall humans are very emotional creatures. But when faced with both, if disected, there's a meaning or lesson no matter how small. Everyone has their way of processing things

Sort:

Do you think that each person's way of processing need to be that particular way or can it be adjusted? For example, can I improve mine or can it be affected to be worse?

It is very late here and I have an early morning so will head to bed. Thanks for your thoughts and if you reply again, I will get to it tomorrow. Or today, depending on where you are :)

It's impossible for everyone to have the same way of processing things. It all leads back to perception, past experience, and maybe even the wounds of the heart. For sure, you can learn to process things in a more positive light and accept things faster. But like in the case of criticism, some people tend to victimize themselves and automatically be defensive.

It's all in the mindset. If you accept your flaw, you can improve yourself but if you don't, you leave yourself blind. So the way you process things can indeed change.

It's just my own opinion tho. And sorry for the late reply.
