Monthly Author Challenge day 29 - On To New Paths / Auf zu neuen Wegen

Dear Steemians, this time I dug deep in my chest of memories, until I found something, long before digitalphotography was common, in 1993 (only 8 years later I took my first digital photography). The picture shows the great grandma of @melange while taking a walk south of Vienna. Until a high age she was hale and hearty and did walk regularly. But in this picture one can imagine already the soon transition to a next stage, a near journey on an unknown path, a journey we all have to go. Maybe a depressing thought, but should n´t we from time to time just lean back, reflect about our life, enjoy & appreciate our experiences and decide what is really important for us?

Liebe Steemianer, diesmal habe ich tief in meiner Fotokiste gegraben, bis ich im Jahr 1993 fündig geworden bin, lange bevor die Digitalfotografie aufgekommen war (mein erstes Digitalfoto schoß ich 2001). Das Foto zeigt die Urgroßmutter von @melange bei einem Spaziergang südlich von Wien. Bis ins hohe Alter war sie rüstig und pflegte regelmäßige Spaziergänge. Doch ist in dem Foto auch bereits der kommenden Übergang in den nächsten Abschnitt zu erahnen, eine Reise auf einem unbekannten Pfad, eine Reise, die wir alle antreten müssen. Vielleicht ein deprimierender Gedanke, aber sollten wir alle nicht manchmal einfach innehalten und nachdenken über unser Leben, wertschätzen, was wir bisher erlebt haben und entscheiden, was für uns wirklich wichtig ist?
