Thought Patterns

A very important practice, to creating the reality you want to create, is the monitoring of your thought patterns. Even the smallest thought patterns that occur every day. The majority of us, think the same thoughts, day after day, and find that nothing changes for them. If you want happiness and you are focused on wanting happiness every day, then every day, you’ll always want happiness. You won’t actually be happy, because your thoughts aren’t about being happy, they’re about wanting happiness.

So from the moment you wake up in the morning, monitor what you’re thinking, do you get out of bed with thoughts of excitement of what the day might bring, or do you get out of bed with thoughts of dread, or a sense of duty to get to work, or frustration that you have to get up? Just by changing that one single thought pattern, can alter your entire day. These thought patterns occur, every moment of the day, they occur at breakfast, they occur when feeding your pets, they occur when taking your kids to school, they occur when driving to work…. It never stops.

So by monitoring what you are thinking, while doing these things, you have the ability to recognize and change how you respond to those thought patterns. Which then enables you to change the thought pattern, into a pattern more in alignment with how you want to feel. With enough monitoring, and enough conscious change, you can go from wanting happiness, to being happiness, without actually changing your daily activities. Change the thoughts about your daily activities, and your entire state of being changes as a result.
