Yes self control is very necessary because it is the one that lets us stay in the right way ..
We also have to deal with mistakes and consider mistakes as part of the way to the goal....
And do not forget that the journey of success is more enjoyable than reaching success ...

People assume self control is down to will power. My idea in the blog post is that it takes transcending any limitations of the brain. This means putting oneself in an environment which reinforces that will. This means an environment which has incentives which align with your goals.

In a company we know that giving everyone something to lose or skin in the game is a means of promoting "incentive alignment". In this environment the incentives are aligned to keep everyone on the same page. All stakeholders united to increase the value of their individual stakes to improve the collective company.

What I advocate as the difference maker is having the right team. It is true that an individual with psychotic discipline can accomplish quite a bit, but it is much easier when you've got a team encouraging you.
