Some time ago I’ve written about the ‘best’ time to submit a blogpost so you’ll receive worldwide exposure.
I came up with the term 4 o'clocky and I thought this might be a great idea to make a blog post every day at 4 o'clock local time with this title.
Every day I’ll submit a blogpost about something that keeps me busy, what I have to laugh about, what I think about and so on.... so Lets blog on, here we go!
This My 4 o’clocky for today...
In connection with my blog of yesterday afternoon about phishing, I also thought about cookies. Cookies on the internet! That can also be phishing!
Now with all the negative messages from Facebook, and subsidiaries like Instagram there is also a bit more suspicion with me off the internet in general. On every level and I thank everyone for warning blogs. Well back to cookies. Several times during a site visit I see in my screen: "Do you accept these cookies?" Where does this term come from?
The name comes from programmer Lou Montulli who came along in the early nineties. He thought that his cookies already looked like the already existing magic cookies, computer files that you can not immediately see what is in them. The term magic cookie comes from Fortune Cookie, the alleged Chinese use to hide a message in a cookie.
Cookies are small data files that send sites to your browser to see how you are online. Handy for advertisers who want to tailor their advertising to you as great as possible. Cookies are also required to remember passwords and user names.
Pretty scary and confusing, now that you do not want to give up your password to prevent phishing. You can recognize a website through a piece of data that you gave during your last visit. Phishing is everywhere so try to protect you as well as possible!
As I and other bloggers said before dont give up your passwords!!
Have save day! And remember :
