Hello friends of steemit, here I bring you this picture, it is the Christ of the crowds, in the Mountain of faith, located in Santo Domingo, my hometown, it is really a circular building that resembles a chapel, in the upper part has a viewpoint that has a 360º view around it, and on it is anchored this wonderful work of the deceased Architect Manuel de la Fuente.
A crucified Christ, made entirely in bronze, if detailed closely you can see that its entire structure is modeled with small figures of human bodies. In my opinion it expresses the way in which each human being gets the way to redemption. There are those who say that it is a tribute to the living passion that is celebrated every year in the population of Santo Domingo "A Living Passion worthy of Crowds", others that is a tribute to all the religions of the world ..... that I leave it to the belief of each person who can contemplate this wonder.
meanwhile I am happy to share a bit of the culture of my land with you.
An important fact: in addition to the original Christ (the one of the monument to the Christ of the multitudes, in the mountain of faith), there are only three replicas.
The first in the cathedral of Merida, a second staked at the entrance of the Museum that belonged to Manuel de la Fuente and a third replica in a smaller size ...
