How humid is it there? When I grew up in the Southern United States you were taught to tip over pots with any standing water in them because that's how mosquitoes bread. All water that didn't have a current or any way to constantly move was seriously bad news lol
Very humid and lots of mosquitoes in the rural areas especially, but most locals have a built in immunity to being around that environment. If you are a tourist it could be a game of roulette if you are not careful with netting and repellent.
