Jonathan Chritchley Is one of the most important art photographers in the world today. His highly personal works have appeared in major exhibitions, art galleries, magazines and books around the world, and are included in numerous international art collections. The picture shows a boat and a stake. "Early in the morning, the ethereal light was very strange. I stopped and only took about 10 minutes. The stakes almost jump out of the water in front of you, and the boat takes on an impressionistic look.
I photographed a lot of waves, because the area where I live in France is one of the most famous places in the world to surf, and that area probably has the most spectacular waves. This particular image was captured one morning with a 600mm lens. I was about 60 to 80 meters away from the waves, and I could see the rolling water on the top of the waves, which was blown by the slight sea breeze. The wind pulls the waves up, creating the best looking waves. Photography by Jonathan critchley
I ventured into the beautiful interior of Iceland. Here, discovering new snow on the slopes of the volcano has created these beautiful shapes that remind me of charcoal sketches. Photography by Jonathan critchley
Lake. After a long day of shooting, I was on my way to a restaurant with a 50mm lens slung across my shoulder. As I passed by, I saw these branches hanging over the water. I took about a minute and finished six or seven pictures of the branches. Photography by Jonathan critchley
Feathers. As I walked along the shore, my head down, I happened to see the feather, and the relationship between the feather and the white spray that poured into the beach on the black volcanic sand, the idea of this photo came to me. I quickly set up a tripod, camera lens down, and took six consecutive photos. I used about 2 seconds of exposure time, so I was able to get a little water action photography/Jonathan critchley
Temple. This is a lakeside temple on honshu island, Japan. It was one of those dark, foggy days I so much enjoyed. It was three o 'clock in the afternoon. It was very quiet. There was no wind. Photography by Jonathan critchley
