On a wonderful journey in the San Francisco Golden Gate Park we discovered yet another hidden area. The Memorial Grove. You can feel a gravity in this place. Every plant is intentional. Rocks are stacked. A brook babbles. People whisper. The soft fur on the Redwoods and the duff on the ground muffle sound.
You don't expect to find places like this in the middle of the city. Reverence. Nature. Spring. I love this time of year.

Feel the same way about Forest Park in Portland-you don't expect such a place of nature so close to a city.
It’s beautiful. Is golden gate park the one with the bison reserve? I haven’t spent much time in the bay but I’m starting to feel drawn to it.
