After The Rain
"...and there; just within the shadows of a bush."

It had been a long morning of relentless down-pouring, but still my Shutter Finger twitched.
The birds had sought sanctuary within the cover of the hedges and the local cats, for fear of soaking, failed to seek them out.
Some time after Noon the clouds shifted, bearing their load to another place, and I was left to go into the garden; seeking opportunities for pictures.
Bugs and birds, alike, sought the air and daylight, from their hiding places, and shook the droplets from their backs; taking, once more, to the air.
...and there; just within the shadows of a bush.
A Rose peered upon the rest of us and exalted in the notion that the tears of the angels that rested upon its petals did nothing less than exacerbate its beauty.
