Looks like something is too large in your image:
My bet will be the weight of it. You uploaded 10MB PNG. My advice will be: save images as JPG's, not PNG. PNG use lossless data compression, not really for internet sharing images :)

LOL! I am a webengineer, fully aware of big images and the loading errors. But you are right, the image appears to be too big.
I do not save my images. The great thing about Steemit and other interfaces is that you can just copy the images from wherever to your clipboard and then paste it into the post. The system automatically turns it into a (saved) .png
That is what I have been doing ever since I am on Steemit. However I guess scaling the image in my editing software hadn't finished when I copied it. I'll adjust it.
Thanks for looking in to it.
Sorry, I didn't wanted to underestimate your skills :)
But I still know that PNG will be a 10x heavier than JPG.
In your case, your picture is 10MB PNG and could be 1MB JPG :)
Wow man you are a pro! Loved this comment.
Great concept and great capture btw.
I see why it worked out the way it did. Usually, for my landscape images, I set the first value in my software to be 2048 pixels and everything else adjusts fine. But that of course didn't result in the same thing with this portrait image. My bad.
Haha :)
I'm glad you found it :)
