Neuschwanstein Castle
Going through the archives we found this sunset photo of one of the most famous castles on the planet. It has been appropriated by Disney and is in everyone's mind when thinking about a fairy tale castle. Can't even try to think of something different.
This incredible fairy tale castle was originally intended to become the private residence for the King until he died in 1886. The castle was built and financed by Bavarian public funds and was finished and opened in the year 1886. More than 1.3 million people visit annually, with as many as 6,000 per day in the summer.
