Memory of a beautiful sailing trip. A sailors dream.
If you are a regular on our blog you may have seen one or two images from this trip two years ago. With more time at hand, we are bathing in memories and sorting images. Coming across some more images to share with you.
Our original plan was plotted like this. Of course, that never works out like that.
The first night we actually stuck in the harbor. We went off the morning after. The beauty in that way, that we got comfortable with the boat without worrying about to Anker or course or waves.
The next morning was the sea was so amazingly calm, there was no use in putting up the sails, we had to use the engine to leave Athens.
But in all honesty. We loved this calm mood so much. Almost mystic.
After a few hours of calm the wind at sea picked up and we could follow our plans not using the engine.
Santorini - Σαντορίνη
When you sail in Greece for the first time Santorini will always be a destination. Well worth the stop it's an impressive piece of land to visit.
As we go on and sailed into the night we did reach some pretty good speed and hopped from island to island almost effortless and carbon neutral. That is what all sailors are looking for. The joy to use the forces of nature to their advantage, for our joy.
Stopping right in front of the Scorpios Mykonos at Paraga beach.
Another day another beach.
In between all the island, we enjoyed great conversations with wine and incredible food prepared by our inventive chef and skipper Stefan. Thank you Stefan for organizing the trip and bringing us safely back to our harbor without a glitch. We hopefully enjoy many more of these sailing adventures.
Thanks @qurator.
Greece is my wife's favorite destination still. I just showed her all your pictures. Man I'd love to do that some day.
You should totally do that. We took a one-week turn which felt so very short. If you can make it at least ten probably fourteen days round trip. Absolute worth the effort.Thank you @dandays - your support is very appreciated.
Well have I got an idea for you!!
Next time you're scheduled to depart, just give us like a 48 hour window and we'll meet you at the docks! 😉 I bring jokes, I'll make you laugh at stupid shit you never woulda thought was funny cuz it's all based on delivery. And my wife's a chef so there's that.
Honestly, though. Have you ever seen a virtual dude improperly impose himself and his wife on your boat in such a polite tact?
I crack myself up
We are usually the ones imposing ourselves onto a boat. www.handgegenkoje.de allows you to get a cabin and in return, you help on the boat.
Looks like a cool trip. I have cross posted this to the Boating community , you should check it out.
Wow, thank you very much @intrepidphotos. We did not know there is a boating community here. We will check it out. We love sailing and go once a year on some sort of sailing trip, if possible.
I only found it also. Would be good to get a community happening there. I have started putting a few sailing videos up on 3Speak (https://3speak.tv/user/intrepidphotos); I will cross post them there in future.
Ok, we need to look into how that works. Sometimes we still feel like newbies still - not taking the time to explore all the possibilities nowadays.
If you post on 3speak it will show up on the generic catch all interfaces (like PeakD.com or Hive.blog). But only 3speak videos will show up when looking at the 3speak interface.
