Aceh Batik Artisan

in #photocircle6 years ago (edited)

Natasya (20) is a speech impaired person, learning to make batik at Rumoh Batik Aceh, Meunasah Manyang, Aceh Besar, Thursday, October 4 2018.

Actually, batik is a native cultural art from Java, but Aceh also has batik with typical motifs. Batik is a masterpiece of Indonesian cultural expression.

Batik has a long history in Indonesia. Batik euphoria reached its climax when batik was verified by UNESCO as Indonesian Intangible Heritages in 2009.

Patience is the main thing for batik craftsmen

The fingers dip the canting into the waxy liquid which is dark brown

Then incised on a piece of cotton textile

It's me! :D

Hopefully as time goes by when he studies, he becomes good at making batik. and hopefully in the future he can open his own business.
I like batik. That's because the motif on batik is beautiful.

But her soul said something :)

Waw. Beautiful colorgrading 😍

Thanks so much friend! 😬

Such good colors and lighting!

natural light is truly amazing! and thanks for the resteem! 🙏🏼:)

Some amazingly beautiful shots here. The attention to detail in the Batik is quite something.

Thank you, Rob! details that seem difficult, but everything is beautiful :)

Wow! So beautiful and intricate @matajingga :) I can totally see how much "patience" a person needs to have to do this :) What a wonderful post! Thank you so much for sharing.

Patience is the key! Enjoy :)

Every crafts work require a lot of patience and in depth focus and this is no different. Never aware of it before but looking at the minute hand work and then coloring them with liquid shows the quality one should posses to have it. Not an easy work.
Thanks for letting us throush each step so beautifully. @matajingga we never knew of the basic beauty of such work unless you brought it in....great work...steem on!

glad you enjoy it :) thank you!

Love your photos @matajingga. They have a very nice, still portrait effect and each portrat and object stands out prominently. I love batiks but I have not seen an Aceh batik before. It is very intricately designed prints and so much details that goes into the pattern. Thank you @matajingga for sharing this.

thanks for your appreciation :)

Thank you for sharing this unique art of creating the beautiful motifs, they are so fine and small complicated details, it is obvious that to finish one piece you will need a lot of time and patience and love for creation. At the end it is a real masterpiece. Those hand-made works should be expensive because they require a lot of patience, skills and love for creation.

love to share.. thank you!

I really like when people who are somehow 'impaired' find something what they love. I can see that she works with such a focus and care. Seeing her working made me smile.

I didn't know that batik was so important in Indonesia. I will ask my in- laws if they know about it as they are originally from Indonesia. The patterns are very pretty. Do you only use it as a decoration or do you also make clothes with batik?

Thank you for sharing and congratulations on the curie vote. Your photos are stunning!

Wooou ! This amazing pictures
I love it ♥️

Actually I am not sure if I am more impressed by this unique form of art called Batik or by the amazing photos with wonderful colors and depth of black. I am curious about the tool for painting. Is it some kind of brush or needle ? Sorry for this question but I have never seen something like this in my whole life and it looks very interesting

Pretty good

It was amazing post, I like the content, I like your pictures, and especially I most like Natasya, she looks seriously studying this batik.. I hope she will be a success person someday. Good luck for you too, sir 😊

howdy from Texas matajingga! wow this is rather amazing, in fact, I've never seen anything like this type of artwork before so this post is very educational. How long does it take to learn such skills?

waow luar biasa indah hasil karyanya

bolehkah saya bertanya, jika batik sudah jadi kemudian dijual ke mana? apakah ada penadah yang mau langsung bayar? atau hanya titip di toko?
terimakasih

Suka banget fotonya bang @matajingga
