Nenets people who still live their traditional nomadic way use 2 layers of reindeer skin canvas to cover their chum (tent).
In mid winter daily temperatures reside around minus 40 - 50 Fahrenheit.
This is a photograph of Anastasia standing next to her home.

It makes me laugh when people in the UK say they have a hard life when they have a job and a house. Existing with a tent like this and living of the land is what I call tough. Not sure I could do it. Were you camping out?
We lived with this family in that chum for 3 weeks and moved with them most days... there's a post about it here if you are interested... https://steempeak.com/@timothyallen/the-toughest-film-i-ever-made
it is amazing how these people live @timothyallen here in my country everything is very hot and we could not even imagine being at these temperatures, what a beautiful photo really makes us feel hostile and still Anastasia's calm, greetings!
Where do you live?
Venezuela, South America, although here there are mountains with snow at some times of the year, that type of climate is very close to here.
I've only been to Venezuela once briefly and we spent the whole time in the jungle. I would love to explore you country more sometime in the future.
This is epic. Is that a satellite dish in the background?
It sure is. A couple of times on the trip we got to watch TV. It was "Russia's got Talent"
lol
nice photo
Wao algun dia me gustaria conocer un sitio asi
it looks very cozy home in snowy world.
