Virga is a pretty neat phenomena, I have seen the rain in the sky, and it never reach the ground. One time all the windows were wet and being rained on, yet the ground was dry, (Tall building, lots of windows, good views). It makes the sky look so misty no matter the time of day.

Virga can be extraordinary at sunset, so beautiful. Virga usually occurs when a small amount of moisture leaves the cloud and evaporates on the way down because the dry air near the ground eats it up. It's called a dry boundary layer. Thanks for your comment.
