burnished beauty

In every walk with nature
one receives more than he seeks.

I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields
that it kisses them so gently.

And then it covers them up snug,
you know, with a white quilt,
and perhaps it says,

Go to sleep, darlings,
till summer comes again
Lewis Carroll

When we try to pick out anything by itself,
we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.

These pics are really stunning, from the peaceful beauty of the pine, to the river of gold and the matrix of icy buds in sunlight - Simply beautiful.

The quotes add another dimension, not simply as a commentary on the photos but as a meditation on nature and its significance in our lives. Good work!

Yes, it does work as a mediation or inspiration. Glad you enjoyed the quotes and photos. You write so well, I should get you to write the commentary. :)

Wow beautiful and full heart touching Thanx for sharing keep it up 😍😍😍

Thank you so much. :)

welcome 😍😍

nature always wears the colors of the spirit <3

Thanks for your input @abdelfatahnadif!

Wonderful quotes, @countrygirl it's been a while, have wanted to see you blog, what I saw today, though the post is somewhat short but really inspiring, we don't need to write the whole page with some meaningless talks. Thumbs up dear.

Good job ! Macro photography suits you well :)

Thank you @weberh8! Very kind of you to say.

Yes you are right @countrygirl, it looks like they wrap and protect it until summer comes.

A very cold blanket at that!

I can imagine, you definitely need a jacket every day and a thick blanket every night.

Beautiful photos @countrygirl and I really love that poem by Lewis Carroll Have a wonderful afternoon/evening

Lovely winter wonderland photographs and choice of poetic words.

Who would be through with winter after reading through this well constructed composition.......lets us savour it.....as it says its goodbye.

All the best. ^__^

Cheers.

Aw, thanks @bentleycapital. I'm glad you enjoyed the quotes and photos. I can savour winter for a bit longer, as if I had a choice :)

See you around :)

These are beautiful pictures. I love the glistening light in the droplets. It’s really neat how you’re combined your photography with the quotes!

Than you @jayna. I wish I could have captured it the way it looked in person. The trees were sparkling in the sun so brightly. Some of the photos I haven't shared shimmer with pink ice on the trees.

Oh I hope you share another post with the pink ice.

Oh....I might. We'll see. The critic in me says no, but you never know how I'll feel about it in a day or two :)

Are the first and last with the 50mm? The last photo has some nice bokeh, but that first one you got the background to pretty much disappear :-)

It looks chilly there. We actually had melting temperatures today, but the meteorologists are threatening us with another week of cold. Was that fresh snow?

No, believe it or not it's with my telephoto lens 55-200mm. I didn't want to walk on the ice. These were taken two days ago before the mild spell came and melted most of it away. The snow you see has a layer of ice on it making it smooth and shiny. We too are expecting snow in a couple of days.

I’ve not been able to be around much the last several days. I’m so,glad I stopped here in the busy evening... so beautiful. So worth the visit. Thanks so much for lightening my evening.

When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soul

I'm glad it lightened your evening too!

mmmm... just the right song to close out the week. Thanks for bringing it to mind. Peace lady

Grace back at you. Wishing you strength for the upcoming days. :)

I was even thinking of Frost's "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening". Nice shots.

Ha...I was just thinking about you - I had some questions about curating and figured you'd be able to steer me in the right direction.

Thanks for liking the shots - I would have used Frost's poem but I think I've used it a time or two.

Well there you go..one of the advantages of getting old is I can watch the same movie over and over and its always new LOL...my bad.

TBH I never learned the ins and outs of curation. I dont worry about how long the post has been up for. I just like to make the rounds to my friends and whatever they give for curation is bonus :)

Yes, I'm not concerned about when I upvote either. That doesn't matter to me. I just had questions about how it all worked. No worries.

and for you, I'll post Frost again. :)

Well I beleive to get max curation its best to wait 30 mins to comment. In the first 15, I think all goes back to the author...15 to 30 its split and after 30 minutes the curators dont split their take. You can see the final amounts after 7 days by clicking on the amount for a post

This is the break out

That's very kind of you, thanks!

Sometimes I miss the snow and icicles... you sure make them look pretty!

If I could send you some, I would. :)

Thank you... somehow we will struggle on without... We did have snow on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day so that was cool :)

This photo is just amazing! I would like to print it on canvas and put on my livingroom wall. This is magic! i feel free to look this picture..its like transport me to another world..well done, wonderful of art dear friend !

Aw, thanks so much. What a compliment! You can have it if you like.

Great quotes to go with the photographs!

Ya, that seems to be my niche. Thanks for stopping by :)

Definitely is, keep it up!

How wonderful! The photos are almost spring ... and such thoughts are close to me ... Thank you, I support, of course!

Glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for your support!

I love how beautiful your shots come out!

Thank you Deb.....I appreciate the feedback :)

Lovely photos! The first one is especially exquisite. Lovely bokeh in the last one too ;)

I'm really glad you liked it @naydenova. Thank you.

My pleasure! :)

Hi @countrygirl! Your artwork and the words you describe to show your feelings are just beautiful! I had a few minutes to stop by to see what your up too. This pine tree branch with thawing out dripping snow really caught my eye 👁. This photo is lovely.

Aw...thanks @lildebbiecakes. It's hard to get around to see everyone everyday isn't it? I really appreciate that you did though. Thank you!
