This report is a cut and paste from my Weather Network all red and bold to get my attention. The little avatar that sits on my bookmark bar flashes to grab my attention.

There is an old idiom

March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb

I was tricked into believing we were in for a lamb March. We had a beautiful few days and I could smell spring in the air. Heck, I even gathered up all my tools and cleaning supplies to start my spring clean up.

Pink daffodils are sitting on my window sill opening their happy faces to the sunshine. Looking at them reminds me that spring will come, just not today.

March came in that winter like the meekest and mildest of lambs
bringing days that were crisp and golden and tingling
each followed by a frosty pink twilight
which gradually lost itself in an elfland of moonshine
L M Montgomery

it was one of those March days
when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:
when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade
Charles Dickens

Is the spring coming?" he said. "What is it like?"...
"It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine...”

Thank you @adrianobalan and @sardrt for initiating the #petals tag.

Love the tulips and your wistful musings.

I'm so glad you love them. I do too, especially the last quote

It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine...

such a pretty saying....it's yellow and pink in feeling.

I feel and hear you loud and clear @countrygirl I enjoyed a few days in the 50's and got excited and started some garden clean up. We now have 40 mph winds coming through and the temps are dropping quickly. We will have 6-8 inches of snow in a day or so. I was hoping to start up my greenhouse but will wait until next week. ugh .... but Spring is almost here.

Almost here is right.....we just have to wait. I don't like waiting but what choice do we have? We'll have to exchange garden clean up photos :)

We've had the opposite: A day of rain after months of dryness and now it's back to summer again. So looking forward to the crisp clear air of Autumn now, as much as you are looking forward to Spring. 🦋

🍁🍃🍂🎃

Did you plant these yourself?

No, they are cut tulips in water.

Wonderful tulips, I miss them.

Where are you that you can't have tulips @erikah?

I live in Romania, I've seen tulips in the flower shops ans supermarkets but those are the small ones.

Oh, yes. I remember now. :)

We have a lot of tulips here in the Netherlands. But that is why we are 'famous' for isn't it? Tulips and wooden shoes and windmills! I have tulips in my living room right now, so beautiful!

Yes that's right. I always wanted a pair of wooden shoes. My grandmother had some at her cottage that she used as door stops. I wanted to paint them and wear them but we weren't allowed to touch them. I'm not sure why.

Tulips are the best. They last so long when they are cut too.

HEY, you didn't post the forecast from my weather station!

Tonight 03/01 100% / 5.5 in
Cloudy with snow. Low around 30F. Winds NNE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 100%. 5 to 8 inches of snow expected. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Okay, it wasn't as spectacular as the Weather Network's but it is is local and part of te Weather Underground. You've got to support your local groundhogs, lol

The tulips are lovely - and I love the last quote...the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine... Beautiful :)

I never check that forecast. Too much info to look at. You're such a nerd for having one of those - why don't you post about it?

I like the quote you chose as well.

Beautiful photos! Really great selection.

And while reading your posts I see we have just the opposite weather here. We had snow, wind, and temperatures way below zero. But for the next week, they are predicting the warm weather with high temperatures. I am a bit skeptic, but we will see. I wish you fast forward to spring.😇

I know ... it's hard to trust the weather forecast. It changes so quickly. Spring will come - it's just time is all.
I hope you get the warm weather too!

Thanks for liking my photos.

Lovely, colorful and beautiful flowers

I'm glad you like them @comstar :)

We're having the same kind of reports! It kinda makes me laugh that we're both posting about spring and flowers and we're both sitting in snow storms!

I know....!!! And I really don't feel like taking any more snow photos. I probably will tomorrow but right now, not interested.

Tulips are one of my favourite spring flowers. I miss them here. I don't miss the awful weather you have been getting.

I'm sure you don't miss it. You can grow tulips in Panama....well I'm sure you have other pretty flowers there.

We do have many other pretty flowers, but I still miss the ones I grew up with :}

Ewww! I hope that doesn't hit here. Heavy snow should be a February thing. Nice photos, though!

It sounds like we may have frozen fog again tomorrow morning.

I'll be looking for photos of that!

I didn't get a single view or vote by 30 minutes, so I deleted the post. Might try again later, though.

I hate it when that happens.....sorry. I wish people voted more for you - your stuff is great. I love reading your posts and seeing your photos.

I can feel your excitement for the sun coming up. I wish you'd have it asap. Hehe! I love your daffodils. Send them to my place sometime. I would love to see them each day. Lovely poem by the way :)

I love the flower.
I am thinking to bring this awesome and pink flower to our garden.
Nice post,enjoyed a lot.
Have a great time.

Thank you @princepr.

Your most welcome.

BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS!
When I lived in NY I didn't trust March at all. In fact, we never put our winter things away until the end of April. I'm fully Floridian-ized now. I get really grumpy when I have to close my windows and put socks on. LOL

Well, I hope your flowers survive the cold snap! Mother Nature sure is having a bipolar moment, isn't she?

Thanks Mere. Thankfully my flowers are indoors but I don't know what will become of the plants that have already started peeking out of the ground. It's very pretty out there right now but I am tired of it. I was spoiled with bright blue sky and mild temperatures for a couple of days. I do love the change in seasons but enough is enough now.

You know what will happen now too - we'll by pass spring and go right into summer like we've done for the last few years. It's cold, then humid hot. Bipolar weather, yes.

And now Riley to undergo bombogenesis, wonderful!!!

I had to google Rile and bombogenesis. I didn't know this storm had a name! Seriously, this is the first time I've heard of a winter storm name. Things I learn on Steemit.

They look so beautiful...and make me feel energic...But first picture is better than the other...Maybe because of the lighting conditions...actually not lighting conditions but because of the its composition... :)

Thanks for sharing there beautiful pink tulips with us and have a nice day my friend... :)

You liked the first one huh. Thank you. I wasn't sure about that one bc I thot it was too dark. But looking at it again I can see what you were saying about the composition and most likely bc of the sky behind it.

I like your comments. :)

Beautiful shots! Nothing like the first spring flowers. Its amazing how happy it makes you when you see those first bulbs peaking out of the soil. March can indeed be tricky, every time I see an early bulb peaking out in March I worry about a freak snow! Thanks for the share. Following now!

Thanks so much @birdsinparadise. I'm glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for the follow too.

I love the pictures of tulips. It does make going through the last winter storms easier. It looks like you are not the only one with a winter storm. I talked to a guy in the UK they are having a winter storm too.

Here in Alberta Canada we are just about to get another winter storm. There have been warning on the radio for days. We are expected to get 15 to 25 cm of snow. At least it won't be too cold. We will be at around 9. Could be way worse.

Stay warm

Yes you get a lot of cold weather in Alberta - depending on where you are. 9C isn't bad at all....quite nice actually. The storm was pretty bad last night here - wet heavy snow about 20 cm. That's a lot to shovel. Thankfully my husband has a snowblower - but it gets gunked up with the wet stuff. BC got hit pretty hard on the coast too. Soon it will be hot and we'll be complaining about the humidity :)

Glad you stopped by and liked the tulips.

Good thing you have a snowblower.

Thanks for the chat, and the tulips. :)

Love the light plays on the pink. Gorgeous pinks. Beautiful images. 🦋

Hey @allyinspirit. Thank you so much....pink is such a happy color isn't it.

Sure is. Easy to understand why pink is also associated with the heart. Makes us feel an inner gentleness. 🦋

That's a lovely way to think of the heart.

Tulips are always stunning, it's been a pretty cold start to the year here in the UK too, snow everywhere at the moment! Fingers crossed things pick up soon, I'm done with winter now!!

I missed this comment, sorry. I hope your weather is better by now. Ours has improved substantially.

Nice, I like the first pic and 3rd one. I see you are playing with 50mm now. At f1.8 only a small portion of the subject will be in focus if you take upclose like in 3rd pic, you can try experimenting by increasing the aperture value you will see different results.

Yes I am learning the new lens. I just came off of auto controls on my camera so it's definitely a learning curve. I just want to set my camera one time and takes photos. But it doesn't work that way. The first tries weren't too good - they came out way over exposed and blurry.

That's true , every photo mostly would need a different settings depending on the situation. Once you know how to play around with Aperture/ShuterSpeed and ISO things get easy. The handbook comes with Canon is very good, at least it used to be almost a decade back when I started. I am mostly self taught using the handbook , it teaches lot of techniques with examples. May be we would do a spring/summer steemit photowalk for a small group!

Hey, there's an idea!!
