@PhotoFeed is the premier photo featuring project on the STEEM blockchain. This project is spear-headed by @jrue, @aweber, @yumyumseth and I and we aims to improve the experience of those who want to see beautiful high-quality photography.
We manually curate the #photofeed tag, resteem the best, create a daily and weekly round-up where we share the rewards while working on long-term solutions to create a better experience for the photophiles on steemit.com.
If you don't have time to browse the #photofeed tag for good stuff, just follow @photofeed for daily awesome photography.
Update
In the last week, our curation trail experienced interruption because of a sudden spike in user activities. Because of that, we stopped voting actively in the #photofeed tag. We sticked to our resteem/upvote + daily round-up.
But now it is back-on! Since @photofeed is still a baby account, we don't have the voting slider yet but that should be solved by next week. So, please go ahead and add your account to the @photofeed curation trail on SteemAuto!
Plans for the future
We can't wait for communities to come online! We aim to be the #1 community for professional and amateur photographers. Communities will allow for a better experience when it comes to browsing photography. We keep our eyes close to the hivemind github repo.
We are also talking about a possible Smart Media Token...we want all serious photographers to own it to have the power to curate effectively the community and topic they care about. SMTs will allow us to do that. Be active and a positive force in our community and discord and who knows...you might receive an airdrop!
An app is not out of the question either. But we will wait to see if there is enough demand for it.

This is just an amazing project and the response you guys received , was aboutly amazing and I am beyond happy that you guys created something to help others on this platform be rewarded for , their great photography . And the ones you’ve reesteem , beyond gorgeous . I was wondering what happen when I put up a portrait but now I’m up to day with the news .

This is very awesome to see. Was just talking to my semi-professional photography friend and telling him about this.
Think this would be an awesome way to earn some more side money and get more exposure and he seemed pretty excited.
Wow this is smart thinking,i cant help but be amazed, i think this idea will be helpful for both proffesionals and semi-profs and even ameatuer.

That's great to hear the trail is back on!! Me personally have been trying my best to spread the word to a lot of new steemians who are trying to post pictures and some of them had decent quality snaps. So I have been redirecting them to articles on #photofeed the whole day!!

#photofeed is really appreciative effort to encourage the photography talent on steemit. I am following @photofeed, get to see wonderful photos daily and nowadays as I see a good photography work by any Steemians I suggest him to follow @photofeed and use tag #photofeed .

I support you and your team with this project, because this is a separate tag and direction! There are always things that need to get worked out when a new project is started. This is a good problem to have, too many new users at once!
I, too, am excited about communities. Personally, it looks to be a great way to uplift the minnows because there is a better chance of whales interacting with them since the gathering is around a common interest.
The problem with Steemit at the moment is that it is one big stream of articles. As you mentioned, the tags need to be manually handled and many post under tags that are popular.
I might have to rekindle my interest in photography.

I have a question though, I follow your curation already @cryptoctopus. Will this affect my votes for photofeed? i.e. I autovote the photofeed trail with a 0 wait time. Then 30 mins later you autovote that trail. Will this make me vote twice thus resetting my curation rewards?

I have already use the photofeed tag in several post about my trip to Italy.
@Photofeed got very good response. I think in few days it will be an trending tag and comes above the photography tag in side bar. Very good initiative.It will improve quality on steemit. I added you on autosteem on fan base..

Do you have plans for different categories/tags for the different photography genres?
we can only manage 1 tag right now. Once we launch a community, we will have more tools to have diverse categories :-)
All the photos are amazing in #photofeed tag...very professional ...SMT idea is also sounds good....lets make photography on steemit great again...

I read this post from start till end and this is what got my attention the most:
SMT is going to bring the Steemit revolution in online world in general and in crypto world in particular. Mark Zuckerberg announced that he plan to launch a token for Facebook...may be he knows that Steemit is going to put a huge dent on Facebook revenue.

My sister works as a hostess in Turkish Airlines.She fulfilled the promise he gave me two years ago during the summer vacation.She took me to America. After one week in the US. She took me to brazil. I think the landscape I caught in the park there is very beautiful. How about you?

I am using this tag daily because I love to take pictures
@cryptoctopus in case any post were made with #photofeed wat about those. I hv made a post yesterday and i hav not seen any activity from photofeed account.....fyi i hv made post and pics were taken from i phone are they acceptable? Or only professional pics are aceptable?
