There have been zero trains lately. Do you remember the post with the abandoned bridge I went to with @lichtkunstfoto and @stepko?

Here is another quick in-between shot while @lichtkunstfoto and @stepko were super busy creating epic art.

At first testing the Light tool. Here I used the Circular Plexi blade from LightPaintersParadise and lit the scene green just as a test.

Then we test the Camera Rotation and afterward combine both practices.

Just because I had the camera rotation kid still set up I thought hey I can spin that and feature the track and the light willow.

What were the settings for the featured shot?

The first shot is a 134 seconds single exposure with the camera set to ISO 160 In order to get the cool angle, I used the LAOWA 12mm Zero D F2.8 lens.

Just recently I added three new NFTs to Rarible. All of them also camera rotations. Also very fresh for you.

Übrigens habe drei weitere NFT'S auf Rarible angelegt. Allesamt auch Camera Rotations. Also ganz frisch für euch.

Camera Rotation what?

Not too long ago I wrote up an article on the topic. It has been published on my website and here on Hive as a blog post.
Camera Rotation belongs certainly to Kinetic photography and it is not a very common technique amongst photographers. Light Paintings are choreographed movements with light tools carried out with the camera during a single exposure. During a Camera Rotation, the light sources are often in a fixed position about the camera, and the light trails are then drawn into the picture solely by the camera movements.

These are my two rigs for the camera rotation.

It all comes down to having the camera in different positions or moving “around” during the image. To do so you will need some fixation of your camera. See the image above. There are multiple methods to the madness. As a LightPainter, I would use two major categories. A) Lens is open during the entire Rotation exposure time and B) Closing the lens during the rotation steps and open to imprint the chosen scene. What follows is that people get creative and mix all sorts of methods. But let us look at the first two categories.

See the making of using this technique.

Thank you for your attention and the time to read that far.
I hope it was also inspirational. If you have more questions please do not hesitate. I am happy to share my knowledge.

Da solltest du vorher bisschen üben bevor du dich daran wagst 🤔

😂

Moin, danke für die Erwähnung. Was du so alles getrieben hast, hinter unserem Rücken 😁 Cool geworden.....

Incredible result.

Watching the making off made me understand what was happening.

You are awesome. Congratulations 👏

Thank you so much for your compliment and time. Time is so valuable and if you see my efforts worthwhile i feel honored. 🤗🙏

You deserve! You create a great artwork.

I was wondering how you do it. Now i know. Tks.

Is require some planing or you just released your imagination during it?
