La Promenade des Glaciers

We have been stuck inside with sick kids this past week. Keen to get out on another winter road trip soon ! This shot was taken just before we headed off to Australia for Christmas of the majestic Icefields Parkway (La Promenade des Glaciers in French) just south of Jasper. That’s Pyramid mountain (2766m or 9075ft) towering over the road in the distance . Alberta, Canada

Great shot!
I love how layered this image is.
Going from top to bottom or bottom to top takes you on a trip across a variety of different subjects. Almost as if the shot is a collage of different pictures. The white/blue/greyish color ties it all together.

Thanks. It was a crsip (aka super cold) morning. I left the bottom of the image quite dark as it looked to un-natural if I brought the shadows up further.

Yeah, the darker bottom of the image versus the brighter parts actually works really well as a contrast (at least it does to me). It kind of provides depth in a way.

It does look very cold :)
