Moisture Meets Dry

in #photofeed5 years ago

It's as if the clouds hit an invisible wall and could go no further, that's the effect of moist air running into a dry air mass. This is something that happens a lot here, because our regional geology includes many different abrupt elevation changes which in turn affect air flow, temperature and weather patterns. This being said, weather prediction's can be difficult here.

Hi @irvinesimages ,the weather conditions are difficult everywhere, there is no longer an instrument that correctly reads the weather, in relation to your work today, I love to see the clouds with that soft yellow tone that makes me think that the sun is lighting the way for them, looks pretty .
Blessings and happy weekend

Hi Martha, weather gives us the clouds and sunlight gives us the color along with the landscape, it's a wonderful combination. Thanks and have a happy weekend.

It was interesting watching that weather sort of get stuck there and not move forward, eventually it did... But for a while it seemed like it was unable to. I'm guessing you're right and that it was some kind of pocket of dry atmosphere. Wish I understood how all that worked better, it's almost like there's a vortex or something where certain areas are charged differently for whatever reason. Whatever the case, it sure was a pretty show!

Being on the edge of the Colorado Plateau and the associated 2500 foot elevation change has a lot to do with it. I find it all fascinating and a real show to watch.

Interesting layered color contrast

This is a wonderful multicolored environment. Thanks for checking it out.

Nice one. That's neat how the clouds just stop like that. The weather can be very interesting at times. Very cool!

The movement of the clouds can create a lot of curiosity as to how the weather works, and yes it's very interesting indeed. Thanks.

Extraordinary photography my friend. Looks like I enjoy the beauty of ancient world. In modern age we often miss the original natural beauty.
