The Colorado River has carved through much stone and earth creating many works of art and is a work in progress. This image was captured just south of the Glen Canyon Dam. This dam and others tend to slow down the erosion process. Because the water flow is controlled so flooding seldom occurs.

The green/blue band at the water line looks like algae or pondscum, I really like the soft reflection effect in this picture and how the shadows seem to just flow into the reflection.
Nicely put, thank you. I think the shadow adds some good contrast and maybe a hidden door.
That shadow especially the lower part close to the water, does look like a doorway. Lots of caves and stuff, and people do go missing out there.
