Waters Edge

in #photofeed7 years ago

The Colorado River has carved through much stone and earth creating many works of art and is a work in progress. This image was captured just south of the Glen Canyon Dam. This dam and others tend to slow down the erosion process. Because the water flow is controlled so flooding seldom occurs.

This is a really cool shot! Nice work!

Thank you, I'm still using the word cool after more than 40 years.

Haha, why change a good thing, right?

Yes its a classic!

The green/blue band at the water line looks like algae or pondscum, I really like the soft reflection effect in this picture and how the shadows seem to just flow into the reflection.

Nicely put, thank you. I think the shadow adds some good contrast and maybe a hidden door.

That shadow especially the lower part close to the water, does look like a doorway. Lots of caves and stuff, and people do go missing out there.

What a great photo the water replication is just beautiful

I agree its a good reflection, thanks for pointing that out.

That lake is equal to a mirror!!

It makes a great mirror and reflection.
