Here's a shot of two quintessentially English sights - a Traffic Warden walking past The Varsity Shop in Oxford City centre. I am submitting this photo as my entry into @juliank's Street Photography challenge today 4th may 2018:

Whilst I never liked Oxford city, I have to admit that it provided a setting for some pretty awesome photo-ops. I can't say I'd care to go back there (I'd be happy not to, frankly) but I'm grateful for the images I captured during my visits and for the insights I gained into the hierarchical structures currently at play in the land of my birth.

Generally speaking, I really don't like visiting cities, @rocketsteem. I make it bearable on the occasions where I can't avoid doing so by taking my camera with me and focussing on making it into a photo-assignment!
