Every summer they returned to the lake. The same group of friends. Sure, they had gotten older but they were essentially the same. Forever they had been inseparable. Now they only met once a year, but it was like religion. In fact, it was religion. Their meeting was unmissable, no excuses. They had been through everything together. War, poverty, riches, first loves, first wives, divorces, second wives...everything, including the reason why they returned to the lake each year. However, this year was different.
The eldest of their group had passed away. It was not the first time it had happened, not unexpected. They knew he would return in time. The eldest had always led the ritual, and now they had to complete it without him. It would be harder, more strenuous. The toll on their bodies would be more noticeable.
Still it was worth it.
Anything to please Mehalzebeh.

nice place goodmorning.. :)
Interesting story.... I'm intrigued.
I wouldn't get mixed up with Mehalzebeh - Not a good thing.
Pretty! Who is Mehalzebeh? I tried Googling it, but it couldn't find anything. Im guessing some sort of demon?
Totally made it up :) - Sounded demonish in my head.
Lol! It totally works!
Haha … and now you're inventing religions and deities 😄 Fun story and awesome shots!
