The Love it or Shove it challenge initiated by @snowpea - Participation & Promotion

@papa-pepper sent a wide call to take part in the Love it or Shove it challenge that was initiated by @snowpea. I agree that’s it’s a good way to get to know the community. So here we go...but first some ducks.

Shove it

Flight delays and cancellations

When you’re all prepared to leave, you get to the airport early, you’re through security and you might have even boarded. Only then are hit with the news of a delay or cancellation. You know that there’s nothing that can be done, but it doesn’t stop you from being incredibly pissed off. Of course this is all just a little fresh, so on a different day you might have gotten a different shove it.

I’d also include airplane food....but I couldn’t have two about planes.

Garlic in a jar

Garlic in a jar can shove it for two reasons. The first - it’s a sign of incredible laziness. Really...you have time to go to the fridge, open the jar, get a spoon from the drawer etc. But you don’t have time to get a clove of garlic, peel it and crush it. Lazy, lazy, lazy. (I won’t even comment on garlic powder). The second reason - is bad breath. Nothing, nothing, nothing creates breath like jarred garlic. You can smell it a mile away, you can smell it on people who have eaten something that was cooked with it. I have no idea what they do to it before you buy it...but whatever it is. It’s terrible.

Drake

Bad teenage poetry set to the tunes created by the ‘play sample’ button on a Radio Shack keyboard. Fact. I love pretty much all music, but not his. Not. His.

Loud chewers

It doesn’t take much to chew quietly. But there are some people who just insist on chewing with their mouths open, or with excessive spit. Those sloppy sounds...ugg. I know not everyone can help it. But I don’t care. Chew with your mouths closed people, think about others.

Negativity

Actually I find it really easy to be negative - that’s why this hits my top 5. I find it easier sometimes to find the bad things, than the good. I have to actively remind myself to stay positive. Unfortunately I’ve passed this on to my kid as well - she does the same thing. I only hope I can teach her the skills to deal with it, and to focus on the good things.

Shove it negativity. You don’t have a hold on me.

And now....some more ducks before my love its.

Love it

Of course I could mention all the normal things. Family, friends etc. But instead I thought I’d pick some more obscure things about me.

Pie

Some people argue that there’s two types of people in this world. Cat people and dog people. I would argue that there ARE two types of people, but they’re pie people and cake people. Some people think you can like both equally...don’t trust em’, not possible. Obviously I’m a pie person. Light flakey crust, sweet fruit filling - what could be better.

Border collies

Love dogs. But not all dogs equally. I have a soft spot for border collies. I had one growing up, a beautiful black and white one. And if you follow my blog you’ll know that I currently own a brown and white one - Kiku. They’re crazy smart, a little crazy, love to be outside and they’re your best friend.

I also love that they’re not made for everyone. They’re high maintenance, require work to keep them entertained and focused. If you don’t....well let’s just say they make their own jobs. Like chewing the legs off picnic tables.

“Dad. I fixed table for you. Now food flows directly to mouf.”

Dreams

Unfortunately I don’t have them very often. They say everyone dreams, but most of the time I don’t remember. However when I do they’re the most visual things, almost seem real. I can’t imagine what’d be like to dream all the time. I’d never rest. That said, I do like to have them once in a while. It’s like a story world I can’t control.

Mornings

I’m through and through a morning person. I have my father to thank for that. I love being up when the rest of the world isn’t. In the winter, I love that the streets are clear, the snow is fresh and the sun still has yet to show itself. In the summer, I like the cool morning air, the soft glow of the sunrise.

Mostly though I think I like the quiet. Being an introvert, I like being able to gather my thoughts well before the rest of the world does.

The internet

The connected world. Access to almost the entirety of human knowledge. Being able to talk to people around the globe.

Since the first time I logged on in my school library all those years ago. I was hooked, and still am.

I hope you learned a little bit about me, and I invite you to do the same. If I have to challenge some people - I’m going to challenge the @photofeed crew. Let’s go @yumyumseth, @aweber, @jrue, @crypoctopus - get on it. :)

With so gorgeous pics you don`t need so much text))))

very true .....

Nice Ducks! Actually they are very nice ducks, but it sounds pretty weird to say nice ducks to shove it or love it.

Pie. The right answer. I have a friend that didn't have wedding cake, they had wedding pie. Perfect.

Cool and unique doggies. No further comment.

Mornings. What can I say. Most of the world doesn't understand that.

Thanks for a great look behind the curtain. And the great ducks.

Glad you liked the ducks. Wedding pie...much better. My wife and I had key lime.

LOL- Good one! Also, making people sit through all the "shove it" first befoe they get to hear the good stuff... #genius!

Thanks for having a read. I might be in the minority when it comes to Drake...especially for Canadians. Glad you liked that one :)

Nice post, the PIE paragraph was great :D

Because Pie is the best.

yeah and i peel garlic and eat the garlic each day hehe

The only way is to do it yourself.

I saw Drake on someone's love list and now he's on someone's shove list. 😂 I must say I agree with you though.

Pie people and cake people! I never thought of that before but you're right, people usually like one or the other. I think I'm a cake person myself. Thanks for participating in the challenge! It's nice to meet you! 😃

Thanks for stopping by! I guess I’ll have to make an exception to have a cake friend ;)
