Flinders Street Station in Melbourne, Australia

in #photofeed7 years ago

After I had travelled non-stop for 10 months, I decided to interrupt my nomadic travel life for a while and settle in Melbourne for three months to work in door-to-door sales. This was a very interesting experience and has actually taught me a lot about psychology and society.

As you can tell from the many photos I have already posted from this city, I really loved living in Melbourne. In this shot I captured one oft Melbourne's best known landmarks, the Flinders Street railway station. I went there many times, but mostly for the fast free WiFi at neighboring Federation Square.

What a great shot and cool building it must have so much history

It certainly has! It has been in operation for over 100 years. Thanks for your comment!

And looks even more historic

It looks like it, but it was actually just opened in 1910!

well I love it’s style

Awesome picture! I especially like the filters that make the colors pop!

‘Sitting still’ in a new place is, although in a different way, just as rewarding as traveling itself!

Couldn't agree more! To really get to know a place you need to spend some time there.

Basic yet beautiful. Loved how you retained the original color elements

Thanks for your comment! Happy you like my photo. Hope to see you around more often!

nice shot , I love colonial buildings.

Colonial buildings are amazing! In Melbourne, they merge beautifully with the modern architecture

Sehr gelungene Aufnahme! Die lange Belichtungszeit gibt dem Foto das gewisse Etwas! Muss mir jetzt endlich mal nen ND Filter zulegen 😃

Ich liebe meine ND-Filter, die Anschaffung lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

Great photo as always :) Never been to Australia, hope to go there once in the future!

The nature in Australia is really amazing! And as you see, the cities are not too bad either :D

It’s a beautiful spot. I have been there often but never photographed it .

For me it's the same in Germany. I have lived in my city for almost a year now and yesterday I went out do some photography with a friend and it was hard to find something worth capturing, although there are many beautiful places here as well!

nice..upvoted! see my historic hotels of NYS mounbtains..

Looks like a beautiful place!

Very nice image!

Thanks for your comment! Hope to see you around more often!

You're welcome.

Great shot! Melbourne rocks!

It does! You are living in a wonderful city!

Seems like the perfect down-under city for us. Would be a pleasant For 91 days there. That light reflecting back from that skyscraper makes the photo. Beautiful frame!

It sure would be! Maybe you could combine it with 91 days in Tasmania? :)

That would be rushing in... I feel like Tasmania deserves it's full for 91 days!!!

That's what I mean, 91 days in Tassie and then 91 days in Melbourne, how about that?

I've been thinking about heading there since one of my good friends just got a job there.

Sounds like you're the person to talk to if I do decide to go some day.

Sure, feel free to contact me if you need some info about Melbourne!

Nice! did not spend much time in Melbourne, but i deserves more time. hope you liked it

I loved Melbourne! It is different from Sydney, I liked it a little better, but I have only been in Sydney for a week.
